your promise is leaking

In Friday's email, I said I can usually tell within 10 seconds if a launch will convert.

(I also shared the strongest psychological lever you can use in your copy. Missed it? Read it here.)

Here's my BAM test that will help you do it too:

Does the program promise include BAM?

(Yes, BAM is my method - but it works).

Your program promise is the transformation your offer gives your audience.

And for that to convert, it has to be:

Believable.
Achievable.
Measurable.

Let’s break that down.

Believable

Does this feel true for who your buyer believes they are right now?

If your audience identifies as “overwhelmed and inconsistent”
and your promise sounds like “7 figures in 6 months”…

It breaks identity alignment.

They won’t purchase, because it doesn’t feel believable for them.

Achievable

Does the outcome feel within reach?

A stretch is good. A leap across a canyon is not.

If saying yes feels like becoming a completely different person overnight, resistance kicks in.

Measurable

Can they see proof your offer works?

You must have testimonials from at least 3 people (more if possible).

And you must be able to track your program results for two reasons.

  1. To use in your marketing, ie 80% of students achieved X in X timeframe
  2. To see if your program works

I shared the BAM method in a workshop last week and it resonated.

Here’s the 10-second test.

Open your program promise and ask:

  1. Would someone like my ideal buyer believe this applies to them?
  2. Does this feel within reach?
  3. Can they clearly see proof it works?

If one of those wobbles, that’s where your conversion is leaking.

Oh, and fixing this will make your positioning much sharper and clearer. 😉

Because clarity at the promise level clarifies everything else.

Once your promise is aligned, we can zoom out and connect your offers intentionally.

So each offer naturally leads to the next.

If you want this level of clarity before your next launch, join my two-week sprint, Untangled.

It launches next month.

We refine your program promises.
We sharpen your positioning.
And we streamline your entire offer ecosystem so everything works together.

PS Not sure if your promise passes BAM?

Reply with it, I’ll tell you!

PPS This subject line made me think of the line from Scary Movie 3 "Cindy, the TV's leaking." Just me...?

After years of saying I wouldn't do it, it has finally happened. I have turned into my mother. In January, I moved into a proper house with my boyfriend. With a garden. And I have been loving gardening. I bought two planters — one with Cosmos, one for wildflowers. I've been watering them, watching them sprout, feeling like a proud mama. (Parents, please don't come for me. I am child-free for the time-being, so these are my pseudo-kids.) Here's how committed I am to my garden. Last night, I...

Did you know that I was the sole copywriter for on a 7-figure in January? Here's are the 6 things I learned: Your audience always comes first. If you attract the wrong audience to your launch, it can spell game over for sales. Get super clear on who you're attracting and make sure that any lead gen works. It ain't over until it's over. We never judge a launch in the middle of the launch. People need a deadline to act so expect a flurry of sales at the end. Personal follow-up is a must. Our...

Hey Reader, Next month, I'm doing the biggest challenge I've ever attempted. This is not hyperbole. I'm doing a 75km walk with 8,000+ feet elevation in one day. I am shitting myself. This will be me driving to the event For months, I've been training. Gym sessions focusing on single leg exercises. Walking up hills. Walking down hills. Walking a long distance. And my hard work is paying off. Not only am I walking further (& higher) than ever before, I'm getting damn PBs on my walks. Here’s...
